Cosmic Structure Formation Group, Group-Day, August 2016
Our group and collaborators during our group-day excursion in August 2016 at the Klontalersee. From left to right: Gabriele Pezzulli, Stanija Muller, Raffaella Marino & Sofia Gallego (collaborators from Simon Lilly's group), Sebastiano Cantalupo, Ann-Christine Vossberg.

Our mutli-disciplinary group combines theoretical and numerical radiation-hydrodynamics methods with the unprecedented data provided by the new MUSE integral-field-spectrograph on the ESO/Very-Large-Telescope to advance our knowledge on the physics of the Intergalactic and Circumgalactic media. The group was established in 2016 as a part of the Swiss National Science Foundation Professorship Grant: "From Cosmic Web to Galaxies: illuminating the gaseous link between the Dark and the Bright Universe" (PI: S. Cantalupo) and include PhD student and postdoctoral members (G. Pezzulli, A.-C. Vossberg) working in close collaboration with other members of the MUSE consortium at ETH (S. Gallego, R. Marino, from Lilly's group).
